The RAAus Instructor rating is the perfect addition for a Recreational Pilot Certificate holder who wants to fly and gain additional experience by instructing another budding recreational pilot at a registered RAAus Flight Training School. You do not need to hold a Commercial Pilot Licence, however do need a minimum of a RPC, Cross Country Endorsement, Passenger Endorsement and Radio as well as 75hrs pilot in command time with 100hrs aeronautical experience. This is a great way to meet new people with similar interests, plus you get to share your love for aviation with your students while teaching them to learn to fly. This course consists of both in flight training and in class theory. If you want to improve your flying skills and aeronautical knowledge as well as enjoy teaching, most RAAus instructor positions are casual and a great way to spend a free day or weekend doing what you love… flying!
